Adrenalin Source for Sports Scholarship Fund

We are proud to introduce the Adrenalin Source for Sports Scholarship Fund, offering $2,500 worth of scholarships to Bow River players entering a post-secondary school. This scholarship is generously sponsored by Adrenalin Source for Sports.

Scholarship Overview

The Adrenalin Scholarship Fund has been established in partnership with BRBHA to
encourage the pursuit of further education. The fund provides a one-time financial award to eligible graduating U18 BRBHA players or Junior C players who plan to pursue post-secondary education within the next year.

Awards will be determined annually by the BRBHA Board of Directors to a maximum allocation of $2,500 per year.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Adrenalin Source for Sports Scholarship Fund, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Education:
    • Graduating U18 Bow River Grade 12 student who plans to attend a post-secondary institution within the 12 months following their graduation or a Bow River Junior C player who plans to attend a post-secondary institution in September 2025.
    • Players must be registering as full-time students and enrolled in a minimum course load as defined as full time within a post-secondary institute including a trade or apprenticeship program.
  2. Decorum.
    • The player has maintained good standing and fulfilled all obligations and expectations as established by both the teams played for and on behalf of the BRBHA.
    • The player has demonstrated good sportsmanship and conduct on both the teams played for and on behalf of the BRBHA.

Application Process

  1. Players must submit a one-page biography, which includes the following information:
  • Background information, which may include family information,
    scholastic achievements, career intentions, hobbies, goals, volunteer activities and any other information you may wish to share.
  • Your contributions to BRBHA, the teams played for, your coaches
    and their impact, your position, and any awards, recognitions or
  • Players must submit a letter of reference from a teacher, coach or
  • In order to collect the awarded Scholarship, Players must submit a confirmation of enrolment endorsed by the Registrar of the player’s post-secondary institute within 1 year of receiving the award.
  1. Notification:
    • Send your fully completed application to president@bowriverhockey.ca
    • Fully completed applications are to be received by February 28, 2025.
  1. Selection & Announcement
    • The BRBHA Board of Directors reserves the right to determine the number of award winners and the amount of each award, up to a cumulative maximum of $2,500 worth of scholarships.
    • The winner will be selected by the BRBHA Board of Directors and announced at the Bow River Bash.
