Registration is now live to Coach Leadership Day!
- Coaches are invited to take part in the 4th Annual Leadership Day – Coach Edition. The engaging event will deliver a wide variety of on and off ice topics to give coaches some actionable strategies that they can use to ensure their sport is providing kids a supportive runway for the rest of their lives. Ultimately, we believe coaches have an opportunity to instill the right values in their players by building a foundation for fun, development, competition, connection, and growth of Calgary’s future community leaders.

LOCATION | Ross Glen Hall - Mount Royal University (Free Parking)
TIME | 5:00PM to 9:00PM (Doors open at 4:30PM)
COST | $15 (Most associations are covering this fee – you will see a discount option during registration)

Bow River Community Coach Application 2025-26
One of the most rewarding experiences in minor hockey is to facilitate the development of young hockey players as their coach. If you would like to get involved on the ice as a head coach or assistant coach or on-ice helper, we welcome all applications.
- Complete the Respect in Sport Activity Leader program (different than RIS Parent - you can register an existing profile on the RIS home page)
- Register yourself through the button below. You will need your Hockey Canada ID. If you do not have one, you will need to generate one by following this process: Create a Hockey Canada Profile and ID
- All on ice personnel (Head Coach, Assistant Coach, On-ice Helper) will require a valid police check.
- Age group-specific qualification requirements can be found on the Hockey Alberta website.
COACH CLINICS AND CERTIFICATION
All coach certifications must be completed by November 15
Please familiarize yourself with the Bow River Coach Clinic Reimbursement Policy (adjacent link).
All receipts must be submitted by email to 1stVP@bowriverhockey.ca PRIOR TO December 1.
